| Modified Chlorinated Polyethylene Description: Modified Chlorinated Polyethylene (MPE), which was developed by our company recently, is a kind of environment friendly functional resin. In the polymerization process, Polyethylene has been grafted two kinds of important functional groups before it was chlorinated in water system. As a result, MPE comes into being a kind of hard and powder thermoplastic resin. It has good weathering resistance, fine adhesion ability, high chemical stability, excellent salt-water resistance and good ultraviolet resistance. It is readily soluble in organic solvents such as toluene, xylene, acrylic resin, alkyd and other esters, forming a colorless to pale yellow, transparent solution. When this solution is applied to the surface of metal, concrete, paper etc., the solvent readily vaporizes at room temperature to leave a transparent, hard and lustrous glass-like film. This film resists the permeation of moisture and oxygen gas, and shows high resistance to various chemicals such as acids and alkalis. Therefore, MPE could be used as the component of gravure printing ink and adhesives broadly.
